Savitri: the Light of the Supreme
Re: Re: Re: Re: In Defence of the “Extracts from The Lives of Sri Aurobindo by Peter Heehs”—Raman Reddy

Dear Ned I was moved by what you say about the Lahore experience:
Another quick personal anecdote to explain my own perspective. While I am myself of an intellectual temperament, the first person who awoke me spiritually was an older man from an impoverished area in Lahore who I met while still in my undergrad days. This man hadn't even completed high school, but he had a powerful spiritual presence.
May I request you to write a full length article about him or related matters? I'll be too glad to post it at the Mirror. Please consider it, as these things carry another kind of refined and noble perception which I value much. Perhaps these are the things which make the life of the subcontinent more precious and meaningful, rich and valuable. These were the kind of perceptions also which were expected from the Lives of Sri Aurobindo and the disappointment is because of their absence. In any case, pl consider my request, and thanks. ~ RYD
