Particle physics makes little distinction between fermions and bosons. Both matter and energy have a dual nature as waves and particles and this gives rise to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. All particles, whether matter or energy, possess spin, wave function, momentum, charge, etc. It is my intuition that particle physics has reached the same conclusion as Sankhya which says that all matter is a combination of five Tattwas or Bhutas.
