The interaction between fermions and bosons is described
using Feynman diagrams.
Particle physics makes little distinction between fermions and bosons. Both matter and energy have a dual nature as waves and particles and this gives rise to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. All particles, whether matter or energy, possess spin, wave function, momentum, charge, etc.
It is my intuition that particle physics has reached the same conclusion as Sankhya which says that all matter is a combination of five Tattwas or Bhutas. I just don't know how to draw up the correspondence so I will leave it at this for now.
Akasha : QFT calls it vacuum or ground state.
Vayu : bosons ?
Agni : bosons ?
Apas : fermions ?
Prithvi : fermions with fewer degrees of freedom ?
