It is incredible that these were given so meaningful Sanskrit names, which match what Sri Aurobindo says about them in the Life Divine Chap X !! Here are the meanings of these words. (1) Ether : Vasudeva : in whom all things abide (2) Air : Sankarsana: means squeezing together Sankarshan = Samyak(complete) + Karshan(attraction). (3) Fire : Pradyumna : means radiant one (4) Water : Aniruddha : No obstacles (i.e. Diffusion) (5) Earth : Narayana : (Nara=water) so one who moves in water, which is the previous Tattwa. The Sanskrit names again seems to validate the particle physics analogy already described here... http://www.mirroroftomorrow.org/blog/_archives/2009/1/2/4042583.html#1208497 We just need a physicist to confirm it ! Akash : Field Vayu : Boson Agni : Radioactive decay Apas : Charge Prithvi : Fermion
