Agreed. If there was a derogatory tone it was certainly not unintended. I just stated it as a matter of fact that the author acknowledges that. In fact I believe if that is recognised, the book and the author would be viewed less critically, and that the style and selection of the content was only a natural outcome. This is certainly an extenuating factor. Our shortcomings are plenty for us to point fingers at others.
