Adultery is infidelity. When man separates himself from his Divine nature, he begins acting under the influence of his lower self. The world was created so that man, separated from his Divine nature, would wilfully commit adultery with God. As the Mother correctly states, Sri Aurobindo throws all moralists off the track here with his playful humour !
