Thanks Auroman, although it’s not clear what you tell in jest and how much in earnest. And, you are yet to make your own opinions explicit, except whatever you have spoken by way of reactions to the reactions over the book. Further the question of your identity remains.
Be that as it may, I have been consistent in demanding that there should be no hesitation in accepting the pragmatic reality. For instance, Heehs’ lecture on “Sri Aurobindo and Hinduism” is a devastating document, which unlike the present book, received scant attention. The upshot of the thesis is that the Hindu gods and goddesses and the mythology are likely to suffer the same fate as Greek gods and their mythology after the advent of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo.
Many would be agitated at this prospect, but this is an inevitability and the earlier we be in its side and work for it the better. Heehs, thus himself, contributes to the new religion being created. By discussing such issues we can reach at the right conclusion and not by pushing them under the carpet. [TNM]
