Tushar-ji,
Actually, using the word Pakistan is a matter of convenience and specificity. Imagine if we had to say everytime "the region of India that got estranged in 1947" or "that part of India we call Pakistan" or something like that.
Far from any passionate yearnings, it was a desire to call fresh attention to the statements of Mother's and SA's. Many people in India, in fact, would never ever want to absorb the diseased state called Pakistan - unfortunately, they are going be some of the biggest opponents of any unification. So, there is nether any passion nor any yearning for it.
What is happening today is making even the most die-hard supporters of Pak abroad predict its imminent demise. Based on all the evidence, their conclusions are consistent with what Mother and SA said decades ago and are neither cloudy nor impractical sounding.
