Savitri: the Light of the Supreme

Vikas, there are some subtexts to all of this that not all may be aware of. Some of the responses have to be understood in light of Carlson's other reactions elsewhere. While I agree that the implication here might seem to be more about the how than the if the real message as Dr Deshpande assumes (I know I do) is that anything military-determined or war-involving or violence of any kind or aggression of any sort especially against one group of people (and maybe pakistanis as well) is anathema to the person concerned. That's one of the ideologies we are talking about. It is also in serious doubt if he could stomach any breakdown of Pakistan regardless of what happens to India. I think, he would be perfectly happy if Mother and SA were proved wrong in toto in this matter and, if they turned out to be right, it would be best if it happened within the constraints set by his likes and dislikes!
