thanks for posting this beautiful passage. I think, now I understand this topic better. Since there is a psychic divine presence behind every country we can also argue that every country has a divine mission in its own way. Perhaps some countries like India because of good samskaras from the past and tapas of the rishis has good chances of taking the first step towards the divine if the people become aware of its real purpose over time. There were always a rejuvenating of spiritual purpose at all times in India to keep the spirit alive. Even now we are not short of spiritual schools but the problems seems to be with the karma yoga. We are far behind other developed countries in doing selfless karma. The message of the Gita has not been taken the right way instead of all the flourishing schools it has not reached the common man. The common man fears spirituality and correlates it with sanyasa. We need the message of the Gita to reach the common man and see a change and sacrifice of their works for the divine. Our spiritual schools have a mission unfinished and concentrate on karma and not running way from field of action. Until then we will not see our mother Nation get rid of this corruption and poverty and other diseases that continue to dampen the spirit of the nation.
