While we are with ‘h’s, let me also tell you that very often people drop ‘h’ in ‘Deshpande’ which, without it, sounds very ugly. By the way, in the Ashram we have 'H'-group of senior members, above 50, engaged in physical activities on various Grounds and Swimming Pool. But let us talk of weather. I’m reminded of a story which of course took place long long ago. The king was about to leave the palace for hunting in a forest. Enters the dhobi with his laundry and sees the king preparing to go out. He wanted to say something but was hesitant. The king noticed it and insisted him to tell whatever was in his mind. The dhobi advised him not to go for hunting as it was going to rain heavily. The king didn’t care it; but no sooner he was set on the game it started pouring heavily. The king was disappointed and came back to the palace. The next day he called for the dhobi. When the dhobi presented himself to the king, he was asked as to how he knew that it was going to rain. The dhobi replied: “It is a simple matter. When my donkey behaves in a peculiar manner, I know that it is going to rain.” Immediately the king appointed half a dozen donkeys in his weather forecasting department. The tradition continues even today, and in all the parts of the world. ~ RYD
