What you say is true. The teachings of the Gita are not understood in the right spirit of Karmayoga. This is the major problem not that there is any dearth of people who want to renounce everything. We cannot generalize NRI problem, there are some professions that are worthless in india but paid enormously in foreign countries. Of course money is not everything. Probably, they need to come back to the country at some point for the sake of it. India is in the hands of corporate power now. It is too hard to make any dent on social life being idealistic but without power. One is inevitably drawn into activism against injustices in social life if one is at all bothered about the country. One has to decide what is the inner call and have a long term vision for the country.
