by
RY Deshpande
One of the significant issues concerning this rich discussion was the Shadow associated with Jung vis-à-vis the one present in the Story of Creation narrated by the Mother and also described in several places by Sri Aurobindo. While the latter is a well-designed creative potential thrown as an aspect of Existence that becoming Non-Existence for the purposes of Manifestation, the first is a part of the Collective coming into play in the cosmic functioning, a kind of inevitable occurrence in the process of Evolution. This discussion prompted David to make an exposé of the whole thing from a very fruitful point of view and the result is his article Jung, Philemon and the Fourfold Psyche. Here is a fine exploratory as well as mature investigative appraisal by him:
Paulette tells us that she is preparing an article dealing with the Jungian self as a demiurge and we are looking forward for it.
